This will allow innovators to develop and scale RNA manufacturing, bringing groundbreaking medicines to market sooner; targeting cancer, heart disease, and infectious illnesses. RNA therapies are fast to design, adaptable and much more precise than traditional drugs with the potential to transform what is possible in healthcare. By enabling rapid, clinical-grade RNA manufacturing, this national facility will accelerate access to cutting-edge medicines for NHS patients while supporting start-ups and SMEs to bring their innovations to life. NEWS | Four UK innovators have been selected to join CPI's 5G innovation programme set to transform patient flow through 5G-enabled healthcare solutions 🏥 Floki, Aire Innovate, Walk With Path Limited, and Dynamic Metrics Limited will receive tailored support from CPI to accelerate their innovations into our hospitals, clinics, and care homes. The programme is part of a wider £2.3m investment in 5G-enabled innovation across the region that complements the additional £5.6m investment received from UK Government’s Department for Department for Science, Innovation and Technology through the 5G Innovation Regions Programme. 5G has the potential to transform our healthcare system by cutting down waitlists, expediting patient treatment and discharge, and creating a more integrated system that goes beyond the walls of our hospitals. NEWS | CPI and Quotient Sciences sign an MoU to form a joint venture to accelerate the development of RNA-based therapies 🧬 This will unite Quotient Sciences’ Translational Pharmaceutics® platform with CPI’s expertise in small-scale RNA manufacture and LNP encapsulation; creating a first-of-its-kind, integrated path for mRNA drug products. Under one collaborative framework we’ll bring together mRNA synthesis, LNP formulation development, clinical manufacturing, and early-phase clinical testing. The collaboration will accelerate a wide-range of RNA therapies to the market.
