CDN.net supports Durrel Wildlife Trust's Viral Marketing Campaign
That’s why the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust recently launched The Lonely Dodo online video campaign, starring English actor, screenwriter and poet Stephen Fry as the lonely Dodo (in cartoon form) asking viewers to consider being in its lonely position! The campaign is part of a broader effort by Durrell to boost its online presence and appeal to a younger generation that is motivated more by interactive content than by traditional media.

With over 100,000 views in its first month and 300,000 views to date, the Lonely Dodo video has had 100 percent uptime with no decrease in performance in its first 3 months, and the resulting donation numbers have been impressive. Central to the campaign’s success may be the story of the Dodo bird, but many viewers would abandon the video if it suffered slow load times.
