Meet the Team: Kristin Lowe, Talent Acquisition Partner Accura HealthCare is excited to introduce Kristin Lowe, our dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner, who plays a vital role in supporting our communities and strengthening our employee-centric culture. In her role, Kristin works closely with leadership teams and Executive Directors to identify and attract exceptional candidates who align with Accura’s values and expectations. She primarily recruits for Executive Directors, Directors of Nursing, and positions within our Resource Center—always with a focus on bringing top talent into our organization. A proud native Iowan, Kristin grew up in Indianola and attended Simpson College. Talent acquisition is her fourth career, and it’s one that fits her passion for people perfectly. She has always loved connecting with others and learning their stories, making this role a natural and fulfilling fit. Kristin is also a devoted mom to two daughters she couldn’t be more proud of. Her oldest is a Social Studies teacher, and her youngest is musically gifted—both playing and singing. Outside of work, Kristin is an avid country music fan who loves attending concerts, and her favorite moments are those spent laughing with friends and family. She has called Norwalk home for 22 years and has no plans to leave anytime soon. Kristin has truly enjoyed her experience at Accura HealthCare and is proud to help promote and strengthen our employee-focused culture. Meet the Team: Veronica Ponce, Procurement & Project Specialist Veronica joined Accura HealthCare as an Accounts Payable Specialist, serving in that role for nearly two years. In early 2025, she advanced to Accounts Payable Lead and was later promoted in September 2025 to the Procurement & Project Specialist — a role that has quickly become a passion and a meaningful challenge. In her current position, Veronica focuses heavily on vendor management and strengthening the partnerships that help our communities thrive. Veronica works to maintain strong vendor relationships, acting as a liaison when communities need support, researching and onboarding new partners, securing competitive quotes, negotiating contracts, refining order guides, and building processes that make procurement smoother and more efficient for everyone. Veronica's Three Key Goals: 1. Standardization – identifying the strongest vendor partners in each category and streamlining our options 2. Value Optimization – ensuring our communities receive the best combination of cost, quality, efficiency, and risk management 3. Process Improvement & Collaboration – creating and enhancing procurement processes while partnering closely with communities to implement what works best Beyond procurement, Veronica continues to support the Accura HealthCare AP team as a resource and mentor; helping train new Business Office Managers; serving as the point person for SAP Concur and DSSI, all while contributing to our broader efforts in financial stewardship. From reviewing current services and costs to negotiating improved pricing and implementing new contracts, she is committed to helping us deliver high-quality care while being responsible with our resources. From Veronica: "My family moved to Iowa in 2023, and it quickly stole our hearts — the kind, down-to-earth people and slower pace have helped us refocus on what matters most: family. I’m a proud mom of two (a 5-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter), and my husband serves active duty in the Army. Earlier this year we decided to jump into a new adventure and now care for 26 chickens — and yes, we absolutely love them! When I’m not working, you can usually find me doing puzzles, cooking, listening to podcasts, or enjoying nature with my family. Meet the Team: Ashley Rosenberg, Hospital Liaison We are thrilled to welcome Ashley Rosenberg to the Accura HealthCare Resource Center family as our new Hospital Liaison for the Des Moines Metro area. Ashley brings with her an impressive network of healthcare professionals across Iowa and a wealth of knowledge about hospitals, providers, insurance networks, and patient care systems. Her deep connections and experience will make her an incredible asset to our team. In her new role, Ashley will serve as a key link between the communities she supports and our hospital partners—helping us strengthen relationships, improve communication, and ensure seamless coordination of care for the individuals we serve. From Ashley: “I’ve worked in healthcare for 15 years, from long-term care to clinics and hospitals. I’m a mom of 4, married to my high school sweetheart, and you’ll pretty much always find me at a sporting event in my free time.
