Loved being part of something so amazing.
This weekend I had the honor of being part of something special. This conference was a long time in the making, delayed more than once because Rizwana Fareeduddin, MD, MBA, FACOG wanted to protect quality over speed. She and her team delivered. As co-course director with Irteza Inayat, MD, MHCM , under the leadership of our Women’s Hospital Executive Medical Director Rizwana Fareeduddin, MD, MBA, FACOG , it was a privilege to help shape a day of learning, collaboration, and networking, all centered on improving multidisciplinary care for women. Thank you to AdventHealth Central Florida Women’s Hospital, AdventHealth leadership Kristin Jimenez, our speakers, our moderators, the engaged audience, the AV team, the hotel staff and anyone I missed. This Veterans Day, a story of service and healing reminded us what our mission truly means. U.S. Air Force Colonel Brandon Kelly entrusted AdventHealth Celebration and Dr. Vipul Patel with his care after a prostate cancer diagnosis. Dr. Patel’s work reached a worldwide milestone: his 20,000th robotic prostatectomy, the most ever performed by one surgeon. For both men, the focus was not the milestone, but the mission, helping others find healing through early screening and whole-person care. “The next 20,000 isn’t about more surgeries,” Dr. Patel said. “It’s about helping more men live whole, healthy lives.”
