It’s been 160 years since the June 19, 1865, announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas. AEP’s Black Employee Resource Group (BERG) celebrated Juneteenth, or Freedom Day, by hosting an employee event that explored African culture and featured 4th-generation master flute player Mamady “Tabmou” Mansaré III.
