Through our Open Doors Program, AES Chile is helping bridge the gap between theory and practice for the next generation of energy professionals. We recently welcomed students from the School of Engineering and Sciences at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez to our Alfalfal Hydroelectric Power Plant, where they learned about hydropower and technologies like the Virtual Reservoir 2 that stores excess energy from a run-of-river hydropower plant for use during peak demand. These visits offer real-world exposure to renewable energy systems while empowering the next generation to shape the energy landscape of tomorrow.

In Grafton, MA, one piece of land is serving two purposes: growing crops and generating solar power. 🌱☀️ Our agrivoltaic project combines renewable energy generation with active agricultural use. In partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and University of Massachusetts Amherst, the site is also a research hub, studying how dual-use land can maximize both farming and power generation.
