This season of giving, our DMV team made a real impact with Thrive DC. Together, they served 150 meals and donated kitchen essentials to support those in need. It’s a reminder of the power of teamwork, generosity, and community, values we carry every day at Aldridge. #AldridgeGives #CommunityImpact #TeamAldridge #SeasonOfGiving #MakingADifference

Laborer > Apprentice > Journeyman > Foreman > General Foreman > Superintendent > General Operations Manager > Vice President of Operations Matt joined Aldridge in 2006 as a Laborer and steadily advanced through the field, later taking on leadership roles that shaped both project delivery and people development. Today, he serves as Vice President of Operations, supporting teams across Mission Critical and Chicago Building Trades while contributing to labor relations, resource planning, and estimating efforts companywide. He credits his growth to the field leaders and office partners who invested in him early in his career, teaching him to work safely, take pride in craftsmanship, and understand project management and financials. His advice to newer team members is to keep learning, gain confidence in your role, and stay open to new opportunities. Matt’s proudest accomplishment is the shared success and growth achieved by his teams and the company over the years. #AldridgeBuildsCareers #TeamAldridge #ConstructionCareers

When innovation and complexity collide, Aldridge steps in to deliver solutions that set new standards. At the Port of LA, our team installed the electrical and communications infrastructure for a fully automated pantograph charging system for electric cranes while the terminal remained fully operational. With trucks and rail constantly moving around the site, we carefully planned each step, coordinated with other trades, and kept safety at the forefront. The result is an innovative system designed to reduce emissions and support port electrification. Sharing innovation that saves lives. At Aldridge, we believe safety innovation should be shared, not kept proprietary. That is why we brought our Non-Entry Rescue System to The Utility Expo, demonstrating how thoughtful design and hands-on training can protect workers performing some of the industry’s most high-risk tasks. Developed by Aldridge’s Utility Trainer, this system allows crews to safely recover a worker from a confined space without entering the hazard zone, reducing risk and improving rescue outcomes. Our goal is simple: to raise the bar for safety performance and help our entire industry work smarter, safer, and stronger together. Meet OBrien Mills, Vice President of Safety at Aldridge Electric O’Brien Mills began his career in the field as a Local 2 laborer, performing directional boring. He later transitioned into global sales, covering over 14 countries in five years. His proactive involvement in safety meetings as a subcontractor led to his role as Safety Director at Aldridge in 2001. In 2022, he became Vice President of Safety. Under his leadership, Aldridge implemented programs like Incident and Injury Free (IIF), Making Safe Decisions (MSD), Seriously Hurt or Killed (SHOK), and Human and Organizational Performance (HOP). These initiatives have significantly enhanced Aldridge's safety culture and performance. Beyond Aldridge, O’Brien has been actively involved in the industry. He has served on the OSHA Electrical Transmission & Distribution (ET&D) Partnership Steering Committee since 2016, contributing to the development of industry-wide safety standards. Additionally, he has held leadership roles on contractor boards and as a past president of industry associations, influencing safety practices across the industry. O’Brien's commitment to safety extends beyond Aldridge, as he continues to shape the future of safety in the electrical construction industry. #AldridgeBuildsCareers #TeamAldridge #SafetyLeadership #IndustryInfluence #CareerGrowth

Once a year, Aldridge brings our safety professionals together for the Safety Summit, a two-day session focused on connection, learning, and growth. This year’s discussions explored what empowerment looks like in practice, the role of servant leadership, and how we build total worker safety, including psychological safety and mental wellness. Teams also shared blue-sky ideas about how they learn today and what they want to learn next. The summit closed with a focus on the mental health of safety professionals, the weight they carry, and how we can embed care and support into every safety touchpoint. At Aldridge, safety starts with people, and this summit reminds us that protecting our teams means supporting their total well-being.
