Important news at Sizewell C: the ICOSH consortium, which includes Amentum UK and International, has been awarded a contract extension enabling us to replicate our work at Hinkley Point C, build on the experience and innovation from that project and create opportunities to deliver with greater efficiency and reduced cost. Amentum will provide UK context inputs for detailed design on the civil works for the nuclear island buildings, including  production of nuclear safety documentation such as design substantiation reports and structural design method statements. Our input also extends to construction design management and support roles. This work, mostly done from our Glasgow office, is independent of our role as sole Programme and Project Delivery Partner at Sizewell C. Amentum, Vertex Aerospace (V2X Inc), Jacobs, Fluor Corporation, Black & Veatch, and Parsons Corporation are awarded a combined $3.5B, 10-year multiple-award IDIQ contract to support the Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program. The program works with partner nations to reduce risks from weapons of mass destruction and related materials, technologies, and facilities. Under this contract, the companies will deliver a wide range of services worldwide, with task orders lasting up to five years and possible extensions of three more years. The award was competitively procured by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Fort Belvoir, VA.
