Austin Bridge & Road recently completed a 9-mile Super 2 widening project on US-281 in Jack County, from the Palo Pinto County Line to SH-199. Despite several challenges, the team delivered the project 107 days ahead of schedule and significantly under budget. The project even received a surprise visit from screenwriter and director Taylor Sheridan, adding a memorable moment to a successful job.

Last week, Austin Bridge & Road hosted a delicious Thanksgiving meal. The SH151 project is progressing with strong momentum and is now 90.52% complete, with only 65.29% of the scheduled time used. This project spans 5.5 miles from IH 410 to LP1604 and includes major structural improvements designed to enhance traffic flow and connectivity in the region. As the project nears final completion, it continues to demonstrate our team's ability to deliver complex infrastructure efficiently and reliably.
In February 2025, Austin Bridge & Road began construction on the largest solo project in company history: the IH635/US80 interchange reconstruction. This transformative infrastructure effort spans 5.45 miles and includes the full reconstruction and widening of the US80 frontage road from east of Town East Boulevard to east of Belt Line Road.
The construction work on Segment 1 of the Dallas North Tollway, between Downtown Dallas and I-635, is now complete. The project began in August 2024 and was finished with 20% of the timeline remaining. The scope of the project included resurfacing the roadway through mill and overlay, performing necessary concrete repairs, and improving drainage infrastructure to support long-term performance and reliability.
On Saturday, October 25th, South Texas employee-owners represented Austin Bridge & Road at the UTSA Engineering BBQ Cook-Off. The event, held on the Helotes Festival Grounds, brought together students, faculty, industry professionals, and members of the local community for a day of networking and community.
