This week, we’re revisiting one of the cornerstone partnerships in our history: one of our first projects with American Airlines nearly 40 years ago. Austin Commercial delivered the 3M SF CentrePort IV and V facilities, including and office complexes with a data center, full mechanical/electrical central plant, and expansive multi-level parking structures. Selected during the design phase, our team led value analysis and comprehensive cost controls from land acquisition through FF&E, helping American Airlines bring critical operational space to life. A legacy project — and the beginning of a long-standing partnership we’re proud to continue today. #50Y50P #Austin1975

Last week, Austin Industries celebrated its employee-owners with one of our most anticipated events: the annual Fish Fry. Attendees enjoyed a classic Southern meal featuring fish, fries, hush puppies, beans, and a variety of toppings, with plenty to go around. There was also an impressive array of raffle prizes, such as televisions, smokers, and toolkits. Thank you to the Equipment Yard team for hosting and to everyone who attended!

Now that Wicked: For Good has hit theaters nationwide, Austin’s 2025 Bark + Build doghouse, The Wizard of Paws, is ready for its own chance to defy expectations. Glinda’s shimmering crown rises to support Elphaba’s iconic hat, creating a showstopping home any good (or wicked) pup would love. Bark + Build brings architects and contractors together to design custom doghouses and cat condos. Each November, the finished builds are showcased at NorthPark Center in Dallas (Nov. 24-Dec. 21), judged for design and construction, and auctioned to support the SPCA of Texas. Thank you to CannonDesign and Red Elephant | Design + Architectural Signage for helping bring this concept to life! see less

This past Saturday, our Houston team proudly joined MD Anderson’s 10th Annual Boot Walk to End Cancer, marking Austin’s fourth year participating in this incredible event. The walk helped raise an amazing $2 million to support MD Anderson’s life-changing patient programs, research, and prevention initiatives. We’re honored to “BOOT UP” and take strides toward a cancer-free future. #EndCancer #AustinProud Layton Construction, HDR, Walter P Moore, Kendall/Heaton Associates, Inc., Arup, Martinez Moore Engineers, LLC

As we continue our 50 Years, 50 Projects celebration, we’re proud to spotlight Parkland Hospital, one of the most transformative healthcare facilities in Dallas County. Austin Commercial along with JV partners served as CM-at-Risk on this world-class, LEED Gold–certified hospital, delivering a modern replacement for the original 1952 facility. The new Parkland campus strategically stacks its clinical blocks to maximize efficiency and patient care across emergency services, diagnostics, surgery, acute care, and women’s and infants’ health. A landmark project for the region and one that showcases the power of true team integration. #50Y50P #Austin1975
