A big thank you to the employees of Carlisle Construction Materials for coming out to The Letort Spring Garden Preserve for this year's United Way Day of Caring Volunteer Event. On October 10th we saw 40 eager volunteers resurface trails, transplant native plants, clear fallen tree debris to build habitat for our forest creatures, and beautify the barn with a crushed stone apron. As my internship at Carlisle Construction Materials came to a close last week, I took the opportunity to reflect on my experience and am truly grateful for the time I spent there. During my time at Carlisle, I learned so much about many different aspects of the business and grew so much as a professional. I would personally like to thank everyone in the Business Services Center, especially my boss Lynsi Romano, my mentor Noah Davis, and Olivia Erickson, for taking the time to teach me so much valuable information about the business, giving me an amazing opportunity, and for always making me feel welcomed and appreciated. Also, it was truly an amazing experience to wrap up my week by being able to assist Bailey Renfrew in helping represent Carlisle Construction Materials at my own college's career fair, at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.

The Environmental Champions Employee Resource Group (ERG) recently participated in the Letort Spring Garden Preserve Volunteer Day. The team helped to dig out what will soon be the foundations for two picnic tables. Partnerships like these help Carlisle give back to the local community.
We would like to take a moment to thank the community support we received at our Volunteer Day located at the Letort Spring Garden Preserve. 👏🏼 Members from Carlisle Construction Materials, RETTEW, Mid Penn Bank as well as local residents worked together to dig out what will soon be the foundations for two picnic tables. One will be placed along the old Barn Trail and the other along the ORAR Trail. They also collected native seed from the preserve to spread over the disturbed areas for future pollinators.
