What does innovation mean to you? 🤔 To Mohamed A., it means trying something new that has never been done before, striving for continuous improvement and challenging the status quo. As #TeamCaterpillar is rapidly growing and innovating, Mohamed is constantly on the lookout for improvement opportunities. Here are his tips to develop an innovative mindset: 1️⃣ When trying something new, don’t be shocked by the first result. You never end up with a perfect dish the first time you cook it, right? It often takes double iteration to make it right. 2️⃣ Find your passion – the thing that lights you up. Seek out a mentor in that area. 3️⃣ Self-reflect on the behaviors needed to deliver on the strategy. I tend to think through problems alone, which is the wrong approach. I’ve had to redo work because of it. By collaborating with others, you save time in the end and gain more engagement with the solution. Emotional intelligence and collaboration with others are what separate us from machines! As Mohamed pursues his passion, he's recently transitioned from the role of Accounting Manager to Principal Business Intelligence Analyst within Cat Digital.
