We don’t “have a lot of problems” with this crew -- what a fun, insightful 2nd annual Healthcare Festivus last night! Rupal Oza MD MPH FAAFP and Andrew Gillihan brought appropriately spicy grievances and thoughtful opportunities from the clinical front lines, including: - Being “married to Epic” and battling documentation overload - How MedOne Healthcare Partners uses a streamlined EMR to cut down “death by a thousand clicks” - Why EMRs should shift from “billing machines” to tools that actually support patient adherence Huge thanks to the MedOne team for making the trip from Columbus and sponsoring as they expand into the Cincinnati market. No industry is without challenges, but there seems to be an extra helping of issues with healthcare this season! At our 2nd annual Festivus for the Rest of Us, we will be joined by Andrew Gillihan of Silverton's Alinea Performance and clinicians from MedOne Healthcare Partners. We will air our grievances about one aspect of healthcare that is ripe for change -- the Electronic Medical Record. Festivus is sponsored by MedOne Healthcare Partners, the largest hospital medicine practice in central Ohio. They have recently brought their acute hospital medicine programs, post-acute care, and other physician-led services to Cincinnati!
