Yesterday was special! Heartfelt thanks to our speakers Marco Giberti Kerry Gumas Heather Holst-Knudsen Greg Topalian David Adler Michelle Troop Ken Holsinger for generously giving back to our inaugural cohort of founders… the level of candor, insight, and vulnerability was unmatched. Deep gratitude to our sponsors who made this experiment possible: Freeman Company , CORT , and Jay Weintraub true Events Venture Group allies. Elated to be leading this experience and materializing our mission: Shaping the next generation of event founders. 🚀 #EventProfs #EarlyStage #Bootcamp

Last night’s CAVA Winter Wreath Making event was such a wonderful way to slow down and enjoy the season. A huge thank-you to Craig Hall with The Waterworks, Noah Matteson with Oberson's Nursery & Landscapes LLC A Visterra Company, Ryan Burgess with Joseph Tree, Elizabeth Payne & Cory Cox with Hosket Ulen Insurance Solutions and Nick Jacobson with Deluxe Door Systems for helping make the evening so thoughtful and enjoyable. It was great catching up with Amanda McCullough and Maggie Purdy with CORT, too. Amanda was actually one of the very first people I met when I entered multifamily and she’s the one who helped me recruit Kaitlyn Flynn, who, almost 10 years later, is absolutely thriving in the real estate industry. It’s really special to look back and see how those early connections helped shape where we all are today. We also had the chance to hear from Jordan Damon with Three Strands, a nonprofit doing incredible Christ-centered medical and dental work in underserved communities. Their mission and impact were truly inspiring, especially this time of year, when we’re reminded to slow down, reflect on our blessings, and recognize how easy it is to take even the simplest things, like clean water, for granted. I’m grateful I had the opportunity to attend and represent Lee & Associates - Columbus team. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening so memorable! This was my first CAVA event, and hopefully not my last!🎄

I’ve always loved Giving Tuesday because it forces us to pause and notice all the way generosity shows up in the world. I’m always particularly energized by examples of companies who integrate generosity into their business models. Where we spend our money is powerful action that has a meaningful impact on the kind of world we live in. One example I love: our friends at CORT and their partnership with Entryway, an organization helping people experiencing homelessness secure stable housing and start careers in the multifamily rental industry. CORT provides furniture to Entryway participants so their new place feels like a real home. It’s such a thoughtful reminder that meaningful impact often comes from using whatever tools and resources are already in your hands. It’s easy to overlook the tiny ripples of good we create. But together, they add up to something much bigger.  What businesses do you support that in turn support causes you care about? These stories are the ones I love amplifying.

Empowering businesses with flexible, sustainable workspace solutions through CORT’s circular economy model.

Earlier this month, I attended a Financial Women of San Francisco workshop led by Dr. Mary J. Lomax-Ghirarduzzi, who highlighted the often unseen challenges that many individuals navigate—chronic health conditions, neurodiversity, and significant life transitions. Her insights reinforced the importance of approaching others with empathy, respect, and awareness. The session was a powerful reminder that inclusion is not a task to complete, but a commitment to building human-centered environments where people feel they truly belong. Real allyship begins with small, intentional actions: listening with empathy, communicating thoughtfully, and supporting one another with care. 🌿 #Invisibledissabilities #Neurodiversity #WorkplaceWellbeing #FWSF CORT

Most workplace strategies plan for installation, not for everything that happens after. And in a world where change is constant, that leaves facility managers carrying the burden of decisions that never accounted for the future. Our latest blog breaks down why traditional ownership models fall short – and how treating furniture as flexible infrastructure (not permanent inventory) gives facility teams back more control, time, and budget.
