ICYMI: The Partnership for Student Success is empowering over 70 higher education institutions to collaborate with local schools, districts, and nonprofits to provide evidence-based support to P-12 students. These partnerships are made possible in part through Federal Work-Study (FWS) funding, allowing college students to contribute meaningfully to the academic and personal success of younger students while gaining career-connected learning experience. This comprehensive toolkit is designed for schools, districts, and nonprofits to navigate the process of building these critical partnerships with colleges and universities. It includes practical steps to ensure the success of FWS partnerships and maximize the benefits for both P-12 and college students. Key steps in the toolkit: 1️⃣ Understanding Federal Work-Study basics 2️⃣ Partnering with colleges & universities 3️⃣ Determining community & student needs 4️⃣ Setting clear goals & responsibilities 5️⃣ Cultivating ongoing partnerships Together, we can create more opportunities for student success through collaborative efforts and targeted support. With NCEC tutors utilizing the management software, both districts and tutors can regularly monitor student sessions, attendance, and skill development. This data collection is not only valuable for tracking student success but also enables us to evaluate and enhance the program based on the unique needs of each school.
