Last week, we welcomed team members from The French Laundry to our roastery and Sausalito cafe. We’re proud to continue nurturing a more than two-decade relationship with Chef Thomas Keller, Laura Cunningham, and the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group - built on trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.

We're proud to be a Certified B Corporation. During our recent re-assessment, we received a B Impact Score of 90.4! But what exactly is a B Corp? Devorah, our Director of Coffee Culture, has the details. #CertifiedBCorp #Sustainability #PeopleAndPlanet

On Independence Day, coffee companies across the country came together to support the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Immigrants’ Rights Project—standing up for justice, dignity, and due process for all. Thanks to your support, we collectively raised $30,000 for the ACLU. Together, we used our platforms to defend the rights of immigrants and advocate for a more just and inclusive future.

"It is such an honor for us to be here in Terminal 1 with Harvey Milk's name on the wall. Such an activist and a leader, an inspiration." -Helen Russell, Equator Coffees Co-Founder We're proud to be a part of SF Eats, San Francisco International Airport's new dining destination celebrating local Bay Area favorites. Huge thanks to everyone who helped bring this to life!

In response to the recent surge in anti-immigrant policies and unconstitutional deportations, Equator and 60+ other coffee companies have rallied together to take a stand in support of immigrants' rights. This Independence Day, Equator is making a $1,500 donation to the ACLU in support of Immigrants’ Rights. Every bag of coffee purchased from July 1–5 helps amplify our collective support. Together, we're using our platforms to defend the rights of immigrants and advocate for a more just and inclusive future. We were honored to host a panel with women that are leading the B Corp movement. Thank you to B Local Bay Area, Caroline Duell, Lara Jackle Dickinson, & Jennifer Harrity, SEP for joining alongside our co-founder Helen Russell—and to everyone who came out to be part of this meaningful conversation.

In 2024, we purchased 41,952 pounds of coffee from Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera La Prosperidad de Chirinos, with a total of $8,390 of Fair Trade Premium invested. Through our partnership with Fair Trade USA, our purchases from Chirinos directly contributed to a Fair Trade Community Development Project that advanced three key areas: Women’s Empowerment & Economic Development, Youth Engagement & Generational Renewal, and Sustainability & Climate Resilience. This project established a foundation for lasting structural change within the cooperative by empowering women, engaging youth, and promoting sustainable practices.
