The power of collective action ⭐ Today, 5 December 2025, we celebrate International Volunteering Day by thanking all our people for giving their time, skills and commitment to communities across the world. “Every contribution matters” Volunteering creates connections with people – and with our values. Gleeds volunteers give generously, leading with compassion, learning as they serve. Poland Just this week, our team spent the day packaging personalised gift boxes for SZLACHETNA PACZKA Project – a charity providing material and emotional support to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. Peru Our people dedicated 164 hours to Asociación de las Bienaventuranzas, spending time painting and building models with children who have complex health conditions. We also donated over $10k to the centre as part of a fundraising initiative. US Our Atlanta and Chicago teams have volunteered 150 hours of time and kindness to multiple charities this year, including Rise Against Hunger, EcoAddendum and Lost-n-Found Youth. India In celebration of World Environment Day, 30 colleagues and 300 local students spent 7 hours distributing saplings for planting and attended a clay workshop. An additional 120 colleagues spent 2 hours distributing saplings to our Bangalore office, ready to be planted at home or in the local area. UK Colleagues from our London office prepared 75 shoeboxes of gifts with Link to Hope, a charity dedicated to rebuilding communities through education and social care across Eastern Europe. Celebrating diversity at the 2025 BPIC Network Awards! 👷🏾🎉 Last night we celebrated the achievements of individuals and teams who are creating meaningful change in our industry at the BPIC Awards. A huge congratulations must go to Donna Browne, our early careers recruitment specialist, who won the ‘Team Member of the Year’ award. Donna’s professionalism, eagerness to help and support however she can, and her positive attitude around the office is always a joy to behold, and this award couldn’t be more deserved. We’d like to give a big welcome to James Gardener, who has joined Gleeds as Project Director, Head of Risk. James brings over 15 years’ experience in risk management. He has worked with some of the biggest names in healthcare, defence and rail to effectively manage risk exposure and uncertainties within projects and programmes.  It’s fantastic to have James onboard. We’re proud to have supported the Department for Education in delivering Tulip Academy, a new inclusive Special Educational Needs school in Spalding, Lincolnshire. Gleeds provided project management and technical advisory services from feasibility through to handover, creating a purpose-built environment that supports pupils with complex learning needs. Careful collaboration with the school, Trust and local community ensured that the design balanced safety, accessibility and wellbeing, while innovative solutions addressed acoustic performance, sustainability and outdoor learning. Delivered ahead of programme and designed to achieve net-zero carbon operation, Tulip Academy is already making a tangible difference for pupils and staff. Celebrating 20 years of Gleeds in Ukraine This month marks a significant milestone for Gleeds as our Kyiv office celebrates its 20th anniversary. For two decades, our Ukrainian team has brought outstanding expertise, resilience, and long-term commitment to clients and communities across the country. Gleeds recognised as the first ever HIV Confident Organisation in the built environment sector 🌟 We are extremely proud to share that we have recently been awarded the HIV Confident charter mark, becoming the first non-pilot private sector company to achieve this important recognition. Becoming an HIV Confident Organisation demonstrates a company's commitment to eliminating HIV-related stigma and discrimination in the workplace: ensuring that people living with HIV can work for a company without discrimination or fear. This chartership signifies our ongoing commitment to fairness, equality and respect and the work we are doing to break down any stigma and barriers for the HIV community in our industry. HIV is a disability that affects people across all demographics, with a 50/50 split between men and women and more than 50% of new cases being amongst heterosexual people. This is a reality which challenges outdated perceptions and highlights an urgent need for greater awareness, understanding and support - especially if the UK is to achieve its goal of zero new HIV transmissions by 2030. The latest UK Delivery Team (UKDT) film features the new Yungay Hospital, one of 18 healthcare facilities being delivered through the Peru Reconstruction Programme. Led by the Autoridad Nacional de Infraestructura (ANIN) and supported by the UKDT (Gleeds, Arup and Mace), the programme is creating a more prosperous, resilient Peru by delivering infrastructure to the highest international standards. Three times larger than the original facility, Yungay hospital will significantly enhance access to quality healthcare for more than 50,000 people across the Ancash region. Innovation has guided every stage of this project, from its people-focused design with therapeutic rooftop garden, to the use of BIM and the adoption of NEC contracts to drive clarity, collaboration and efficiency. The impact on efficiency is clear; with completion achieved in three years, compared with the 10–12-year average for similar healthcare facilities in Peru. But speed is only part of the story. The true vision behind this programme is to build infrastructure that genuinely improves lives and strengthens communities.
