On #GivingTuesday, over 330,000 people came together to give $76.9 million to nonprofits and individuals on GoFundMe. But there’s a lot more to the story than that. I want to take a moment to recognize the hard work of the fundraisers who worked tirelessly to drive incredible results for their organizations. Kesem: For 25 years, Kesem has connected children facing a parent's cancer through unwavering support, compassion, and an empowering community. They surpassed their fundraising goal yesterday, which will help them continue to offer this support to nearly 3,000 children. Gary Sinise Foundation: Thoughtful storytelling and generous matches helped the Gary Sinise Foundation pass its fundraising goal to support America’s veterans, first responders, and families of fallen heroes in their time of need. Blood Cancer United: The success of Blood Cancer United’s campaign will power their mission to fund blood cancer research, provide free support for patients, and advocate for more affordable, accessible healthcare options. The most important stretch of the giving season is still ahead, but I hope everyone can take a quick pause and celebrate yesterday’s achievements. Your work inspired action, and will continue to do so in the weeks ahead.
