Our team at Florida Blue recently brought the community together for an unforgettable evening with Orlando Magic Player Tristan da Silva at our Orlando West Lakes Florida Blue Center. The event featured interactive games, live music, and face painting, creating a fun and lively atmosphere for fans of all ages. We're committed to supporting the communities we serve and fostering connections that make a lasting impact.

Our team at Florida Blue was proud to participate in the 34th Annual HEAT Thanksgiving Celebration at the Miami Rescue Mission, hosted by the Miami HEAT. This special event brought together our community to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. Together, we provided 600 Thanksgiving baskets to families in need and served hot meals to 450 residents of the Miami Rescue Mission. It was a heartwarming reminder of the power of community and the importance of giving back.

During the week of Thanksgiving, our friends at our Florida Blue West Florida team joined forces with Tampa Bay Buccaneers player Tez Johnson to tackle food insecurity in our community. Together, they cohosted a donation drive benefiting Feeding Tampa Bay, collecting canned goods to support those in need. The statistics are staggering: 1 million+ individuals in our 10-county region face food insecurity, including 1 in 6 adults and 1 in 4 children. Yet, 68% have never had to rely on a food line before.

This Diabetes Awareness Month, we're highlighting our efforts to address diabetes across our GuideWell family of companies. Recently, our team at Florida Blue partnered with the Orlando Magic to distribute 400 Thanksgiving meals to families at the Eatonville Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida. We also provided boxes of essential food items, courtesy of United Against Poverty Inc., for the families to take home. A huge thank you to Orlando Magic Player Jase Richardson and Head Coach Jamahl Mosley for their help in making this event a success! Our partnership with the Magic goes beyond just this event - for every blocked shot they make this season, we donate 10 meals to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. To date, we've donated over 26,000 meals to families in need.

We're thrilled to share that Lydia Figueroa, our executive director at the Triple-S Foundation, has been recognized by the Puerto Rico House of Representatives for her tireless efforts in combating premature births in Puerto Rico. Her dedication to supporting March of Dimes' Group Maternal Care program has been instrumental in promoting healthier outcomes for mothers and babies on the island. We're incredibly proud of Lydia's leadership and commitment to this important cause, and we're honored to have her at the helm of the Triple-S Foundation.

Our Florida Blue team recently partnered with the Miami HEAT for a special presenting sponsor night event! We brought the excitement with Hoops 4 Blue, interactive games & gave away 22k co-branded bucket hats. Plus, a lucky winner scored an autographed team ball & 130 members met Davion Mitchell.

Recently, our Florida Blue West Florida team spent Veterans Day serving our community and supporting the mission of the St. Pete Free Clinic. We're proud to partner with organizations like the SPFC, who provide essential health and wellness services to those in need. Our team members came together to package food donations and prepare them for distribution, embodying the spirit of service that drives our mission to improve family health outcomes.

Recently, our team at Florida Health Care Plans partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Volusia/Flagler Counties and the Society of St. Andrew to deliver fresh food & produce to over 275 households in Volusia County on November 12th! We're grateful for community partners like Farm Share & Society of St. Andrew who helped make this event a success. Together, we're making a positive impact & improving the health & well-being of our communities.
