We love learning about our Jack’s Community Grants recipients through their applications and testimonials, but it's especially wonderful to get to know the incredible organizations we support through visits and volunteer opportunities. Recently, our Phoenix-area colleagues Jenny Colon, Anais Garcia, Jaime Ogus, MBA, and Kyle Wake volunteered with Delivering Dreams of Arizona, a grant recipient that supplies local children with basic needs so they can enter the classroom ready to learn and thrive. Delivering Dreams buses visit partner schools throughout the school year, offering up a one-stop shop filled with clothing, shoes, and hygiene supplies (all at no cost to students!) Participating kids get to pick out brand-new items to ensure they feel confident and comfortable in school, able to focus on school instead of on their appearance. Their impact extends well beyond the youth served, as our employee volunteers can attest. Anais shared that “volunteering with the Delivering Dreams bus was truly unforgettable -- what an amazing program! Witnessing the joy and confidence of K-8 students as they received brand-new clothing, shoes, and other essentials was incredibly moving. May this program continue to thrive and support students in need!” We’re so grateful to Delivering Dreams for welcoming our employee volunteers and empowering them to support Phoenix students! ____ Jack’s Community Grants funds nonprofits that feed, educate, and empower youth in our local restaurant communities. As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving with our loved ones, we wanted to highlight another recent meal: one we shared with Jack’s Community Grants recipient The Core Collective at Saint Vincent! Our St. Louis-area franchise operator Jeremy Bonk and his team brought tacos, burgers, curly fries, and good vibes to the youth participants in The Core Collective’s Transitional Living Program (TLP). Reflecting on their visit, Jeremy shared “I could see how much the meal meant to the young people and how it created a moment of comfort and enjoyment during their day.” For the past two years, we’ve been proud to fund The Core Collective’s work providing life-changing resources for unhoused youth. Through the Transitional Living Program, participants receive safe housing along with comprehensive support services including case management, life skills coaching, art therapy, meals, healthcare, transportation, and job assistance. This combination of stability and opportunity does more than meet immediate needs – it empowers young people to overcome challenges, build confidence, and successfully transition into adulthood. Many thanks to Jeremy and the team for sharing a meal and helping to build strong community connections between our restaurants and our grant recipients. ____ Jack’s Community Grants funds nonprofits that feed, educate, and empower youth in our local restaurant communities. As we reflect on September’s #HungerActionMonth, we're spotlighting Jack’s Community Grants recipient Second Harvest of the Greater Valley! Each year, this food bank distributes more than 25 million pounds of food to over 500,000 individuals across California’s Central Valley and Sierra Nevada foothill communities. In addition to grant funding, our partnership extends to hands-on volunteerism. A few weeks ago, Second Harvest of the Greater Valley welcomed local Jack in the Box restaurant leaders from Yadav Enterprises, Inc. into their warehouse to lend a hand in the fight against hunger. A big thank you to Northern California franchisee Anil Yadav for supporting his team’s volunteer efforts! Dolores Kaufman, Director of Operations, Yadav Enterprises, looks forward to this annual outing; as she shared, “volunteering with SHGV is one of the highlights of our year. It’s powerful to step out of our day-to-day work at the restaurants and come together as a team to do something that directly helps our neighbors. We always leave feeling proud, connected, and inspired to keep giving back.” We’re grateful to our Northern California Jack in the Box team for their continued passion and leadership in the fight against hunger! ____ Jack’s Community Grants funds nonprofits that feed, educate, and empower youth in our local restaurant communities.
