🌟 Community Spotlight: Marathon River Sweep and River Cities Harvest 🌟 Despite the heat, our volunteers stepped up this week! From the Marathon River Sweep, where we rolled up our sleeves to protect our waterways, to partnering with River Cities Harvest to gather more than 2,000 pounds of food for local pantries, we are proud to serve our communities. Together, we’re making a positive impact on our environment and for our neighbors. #KentuckyPower #caringforourcommunity #MarathonRiverSweep #RiverCitiesHarvest

🌟 Community Spotlight: Floyd County Community Day 🌟 Kentucky Power recently teamed up with the Floyd County Homeless Shelter for Floyd County Community Day — a day focused on service, support and community spirit. Our employees served lunch and helped with hands-on projects to improve the shelter. They also kicked off construction of a new basketball court for the use of residents and their families. This day was all about showing up for our neighbors in need and strengthening the Floyd County community together. We were proud to be there! #FloydCountyCommunityDay #KentuckyPowerCares #StrongerTogether #FloydCountyKY

🌟Community Spotlight: Powering Repairs, Empowering Neighbors 🌟 We joined more than 150 volunteers on Saturday for Ashland’s 24th Annual Repair Affair — helping improve safety and accessibility for residents in need. More than 35 homes were repaired! Our volunteers said the best part was having the opportunity to use their skills to help neighbors who needed them the most. 💚💙 We’re proud to power communities that care! #AKY #RepairAffair #CommunityStrong #KentuckyPower #AshlandKY

⚡ Community Spotlight: Line Crew in Action! 💪 One of our dedicated line crews had a fun opportunity to visit students at Ponderosa Elementary recently! We make it our priority to participate in our local schools by educating students on the utility industry and sharing important information on how to stay safe around electricity. We hope to inspire the next generation by igniting interest in STEM fields and teaching students about the vital role of line workers in our community. Thank you, Ponderosa Elementary, for having us! #CommunityEngagement #STEMEducation #SafetyFirst #UtilityHeroes

We ❤️ our schools! At recent career fairs in Boyd, Lawrence, and Perry County, our employees showcased the talent behind the power industry. Students had the chance to try on high-voltage rubber sleeves and Class 2 gloves, getting a hands-on look at the job of a lineworker and their safety gear. 💪 It's a privilege to participate in experiences that bridge the gap between education and the real world, showcasing the exciting careers available in our field and beyond.
