We recently celebrated a major milestone at North - Maple Grove Hospital – 6,000 surgeries performed using the da Vinci Surgical System! This robotic technology is designed to help surgeons perform minimally invasive procedures so we can deliver the best standard of care for our community and support a quicker recovery for patients following surgery. To round out the 4-part video series that takes a closer look at our values, we're highlighting Create Impact: we are accountable for the best possible outcomes. We're proud to have nurses like our most recent DAISY Award winner, Kelsie, delivering expert care in a compassionate manner at North - Maple Grove Hospital. Congratulations on this much-deserved recognition! "Kelsie also made sure to make our family feel special and made sure to celebrate each of our babies' milestones. It made all the difference in the world to have those personal touches like footprints and photos. It's all these small but kind gestures that make such a lasting impact and set the stage for turning a somewhat scary time in the hospital into positive memories." As soon as our 70,000th baby made its arrival last Saturday, our Family Birth Center teams were ready to celebrate with a POP themed cart! 🎉They made the rounds with on-theme goodies like popcorn, cake pops, and soda pop to mark the occasion in a memorable way. As the top delivery hospital in the state, these team members are the heart of every birth story. Their compassion, expertise, and tireless dedication ensure that each family feels supported, safe, and celebrated throughout every step of their journey and we’re proud of the impact they’ve made and the joy they help bring into the world.

During a recent resiliency and self-care session, our newly graduated cohort of nurses each received a hand-decorated inspirational quote card created by a fellow cohort member. These thoughtful messages now hang in their lockers, serving as daily reminders of encouragement, strength, and support as they begin their nursing journey. Congratulations to these 19 new nurse grads from departments across North - Maple Grove Hospital as they uplift each other through shared inspiration!

At North – Maple Grove Hospital, growth and innovation are constant. One of the driving forces behind this progress is Joe Weickert, our dedicated facilities manager. Joe’s leadership has been instrumental in expanding critical areas like the emergency care center and labor and delivery units, replacing essential equipment such as MRIs, and introducing AI-powered maintenance tools, all to ensure our hospital continues to meet the needs of a growing patient population. His behind-the-scenes work keeps our hospital running smoothly, enabling our teams to deliver high-quality care every day. As we continue to celebrate NICU Awareness Month, we remain humbled by the Gerber family who have built such a beautiful tradition with our team to honor their daughter Emerson’s North - Maple Grove Hospital NICU journey. Each year on her birthday, they deliver food to NICU families currently in our care, as well as to our care team, to show appreciation and offer a moment of recognition for the staff who provide critical care and comfort to families in need. This year is extra special as Emerson turned 5! She dreams of working at the Animal Humane Society like her mom, is celebrating with a mermaid-themed birthday party, and adores her favorite doll, Lollipop. We’re so grateful to the Gerber family for letting us be part of Emerson’s story and for celebrating with our NICU community year after year. Through the North Memorial Health Foundation, families like the Gerber's find meaningful ways to give back and stay connected.

Congratulations to these former North - Maple Grove Hospital Junior Volunteers who are off to their first year of college with a scholarship thanks to the Gayle Stegeman Memorial Scholarship fund! Each recipient has completed at least 100 hours of volunteering at the hospital, giving their time and energy to help make a difference in the community and gain valuable experience before they even graduate from high school. Thank you, Junior Volunteers, and best of luck as you begin your new adventure!
