As my fellowship with the Frank Karel Fellowship in Public Interest Communications comes to a close, I’m walking away with more than just professional experience — I’m leaving with a deeper sense of purpose. Partnering with Martha's Table this summer taught me that real change begins when you choose to see people fully — their stories, their struggles, and their strength. Once you see that, you can’t unsee it. And that’s when you feel called to do something about it. I’m grateful for every conversation, every challenge, and every lesson that reminded me why I want to use my voice and skills to create impact. Thank you to the Karel Fellowship and Martha's Table for investing in my growth and showing me that service and storytelling are powerful tools for change. This is not the end — it’s the beginning of the work I’m committed to doing. Here’s to carrying these lessons forward and continuing to push for a world where everyone is seen, heard, and valued. #FrankKarelFellowship #MarthasTable #SocialImpact #StorytellingForChange #blessed #Grateful

Our July Baby and Me session was all about building early literacy through joyful connection. In partnership with DC Public Library, moms and babies gathered for an engaging story time that brought books to life. Librarians shared the importance of reading to babies from the very beginning and equipped moms with practical tips to make it part of their daily routine. Each family received take-home books, fun goodies, and information on free resources available through the library. It was a heartwarming event filled with stories, smiles, and the start of strong reading habits!
