Graduation looks a little different here, where tassels turn into tools!👷♀️🎓 We’re proud to celebrate 19 Construction Laborer Apprentices from McCarthy’s Registered Apprenticeship Program who have completed their two-year journey across five renewable energy projects: Centennial Flats, Jones City, Oystercatcher, Sundance, and Waterloo. These incredible individuals make up McCarthy’s first Construction Labor Apprentice Cohort, and they’re already leaving their mark. Each apprentice has earned their Journey Worker designation in Renewable Energy, setting a powerful example for future apprentices who will follow in their footsteps. Just outside of Monroe, Louisiana, RWE's Lafitte Solar is providing 100 megawatts of critical power to more than 17,000 local homes and businesses. But this project was more than just solar — the project team and RWE truly aimed to leave a lasting impact on the Ouachita and Monroe communities. 🤝 During construction, the teams: 🏫 Hosted a toy drive benefitting nearly 400 students at Roy Neal Shelling, Sr. Elementary School ☀️ Funded a new playground at Tanglewood Community Park 🎄 Donated significant food resources to Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana for the holidays.
