We are saddened to learn of the passing of Senator Faith Winter, a champion for Colorado’s families, working people, and our environment. With a heavy heart, we send our deepest condolences to her children, her loved ones, and our entire Colorado community who are grieving her absence. Senator Faith Winter will be remembered as a powerful leader and advocate whose courage and vision helped shape Colorado into a more equitable, just and compassionate state. Mi Familia Vota had the honor of standing beside her in that work. We witnessed firsthand her love and commitment to protecting our environment, and uplifting the voices of those too often overlooked. Colorado is better because Senator Faith Winter fought for it. We will honor her legacy by continuing the work for justice, representation, and the Colorado that she believed in.

📍Arizona: We are so proud of our fearless Arizona State Director, Monica Sandschafer, who immediately stepped in along with many community leaders to demand the release our friend and leader. Thank you to everyone who fought for his release. His courage to defend our immigrant communities is a reminder that we must keep going and continue showing up.

From New Jersey to Virginia, Latino voters reversed last year’s swing toward Trump sending a clear and loud message: we will NOT be attacked, ignored and intimidated. As Hector Sanchez Barba shared with ABC News “Latinos have been the main target of this president and of the MAGA agenda and we’re saying enough is enough” and here at MFV we will continue to organize year-round to empower Latino communities- from citizenship to the ballot box- ensuring our voices shape the future of this country.
