OFFICE OF THE DEAN ANNOUNCEMENT Appointment of James T. Tarpeh II ’92 as Executive Director of the Morehouse College Real Estate Institute Dear Morehouse Community, Alumni, Partners, and Friends, I am delighted to announce the appointment of James T. Tarpeh II ’92 as the new Executive Director of the Morehouse College Real Estate Institute. His selection marks a major step forward in the Institute’s growth and strategic positioning within the real estate industry. A Proven Real Estate Leader Mr. Tarpeh brings more than two decades of experience in real estate development, commercial banking, and strategic expansion. Most recently, as Real Estate Director for Waffle House, Inc., he oversaw multi-state development efforts, driving market expansion through site selection, acquisition, and operational alignment. His earlier career as a commercial banker further deepened his expertise in capital markets, deal structure, and financial execution, skills that directly align with the Institute’s experiential and industry-engaged mission. A Morehouse Man Returning with Purpose A proud member of the Class of 1992, Mr. Tarpeh embodies the excellence, integrity, and global mindset that define Morehouse leadership.
