So thankful for an incredible day at the California Payroll Conference! Move For Hunger was proud to present our “The Price is WHAT?” activation to more than 250 payroll leaders from across California. Together, we raised nearly $9,000 to support our hunger relief efforts. Huge thanks to the California Payroll Conference board for generously matching the first $2,500 in donations and to Green Dot Corporation for sponsoring the event and fueling our mission. Every dollar helps us rescue more food and deliver it to families who need it most.

Let’s get more meals to neighbors in need. Together, we can fight hunger, reduce waste, and increase access.
About us
Move For Hunger is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that mobilizes transportation networks to deliver surplus food to communities in need. As you may be aware, many people throw out a good deal of “stuff” when they move. Unfortunately, a lot of this “stuff” is food that could be delivered to a family in need rather than thrown away. That’s where we come in! Move For Hunger teams up with professional moving companies, corporate housing providers, relocation management companies, and multifamily apartment communities across the U.S. & Canada to rescue unopened, non-perishable food items from people moving and deliver it to local food banks. In addition to collecting food from people who are moving to new homes, Move For Hunger helps companies and individuals across the United States and Canada organize thousands of successful food drives and employee engagement events each year. Since its founding in 2009, Move For Hunger has delivered more than 32 million pounds of food - that's 26.5 million meals - to food banks and pantries nationwide.

Did you know, Move For Hunger is a proud participating charity in the Combined Federal Campaign? Through this initiative, members of the federal workforce can support a variety of causes and missions, including ours, to rescue food and feed families in need. Are you or someone you know employed by the federal government? Do you have a passion for fighting hunger and want to help feed families in need this holiday season? While this annual campaign was temporarily impacted by the government shutdown earlier this fall, there's still time for eligible employees to pledge to support the cause(s) of their choice before the campaign pledge window ends on December 31! #GiveHappy #GiveCFC #MoveForHunger #FeedAFamilyInNeed
