Ask about their kids, their pets or even their goals. It shows you care . As Central Florida students returned to school, we celebrated with our annual PB&J Day. Are you interested in what’s happening in Osceola County? Here’s a look at your community correspondent, Laverne McGee.   Laverne is committed to getting Osceola residents the information they need. As a committed reporter, she takes people's specific concerns directly to community leaders to get answers. “I am honored to be able to develop strong relationships with residents and elected officials to get results for Osceola County,” commented Laverne. As both community advocate and a watchdog, she recently secured an exclusive interview with the new Osceola County Sheriff, Chris Blackmon, to discuss his plans for keeping the community safe. Knowing how to build strong relationships with residents and elected officials, allows Laverne to get results and highlight the positive aspects of the community, such as its booming growth. She advocates for local issues by asking specific questions to state leaders, including Governor Ron DeSantis and Attorney General James Uthmeier.   We asked Laverne to share something the average Central Floridian may not know about Osceola County. She told us about NeoCity. It is becoming a global player in semiconductor technology. Semiconductors are the crucial components in everything from our phones to our laptops.
