We are excited to share that Oaktree’s Real Estate team, in partnership with Greenlaw Partners, has acquired a 175,000 sq. ft. industrial facility in Santa Clarita, CA through an off-market sale-leaseback with John Paul Mitchell Systems (JPMS™).   This marks the first acquisition by our Real Estate Income strategy in more than two and a half years — a deliberate move reflecting our conviction in an early-stage recovery for high-quality, core-plus industrial assets.   The property, purchased well below estimated replacement cost, offers immediate, stable income in one of Southern California’s most supply-constrained logistics hubs. We see strong potential for yield growth over time as market dynamics evolve.   This transaction is a great example of our disciplined, credit-driven approach and our focus on capitalizing ahead of anticipated shifts in supply and the cost of capital. #AlternativeInvesting

We are pleased to share that James Lindsay, CFA, has joined our European Capital Formation team as a Managing Director, Head of U.K. Institutional, with responsibility for business development across the U.K. institutional market. He will be based in London and report to Peter Preisler, Head of Europe and Africa, Capital Formation at Oaktree. James brings extensive industry experience, joining Oaktree from Natixis Investment Management where he most recently served as Director, Head of U.K. Corporate DB and Insurance. He originally joined Natixis in 2020 as Head of U.K. Institutional Sales, following his tenure at Western Asset Management where he held the same role. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lindsay spent six years as a Client Director at Legal & General Investment Management, managing relationships with large U.K. DB and DC pension schemes across asset classes including LDI, fixed income, equities and real assets.
