  • A big trend we’re seeing in the renewables space is the shift to 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠. Clients are moving away from strict requirements like 'X years in solar or 'specific degree' and focusing more on practical skills - things like adaptability, problem-solving, and the ability to work across various areas. This broadens the talent pool significantly and opens the door for people from other sectors like manufacturing, oil & gas, and utilities to make the leap into renewables. Associate Manager at OP Renewables - Expert Headhunter Supporting Growth in the Renewable Energy & Infrastructure space

I’m currently looking to connect with hiring managers in the data center space who are building out their energy and power teams. I’m working closely with several senior leaders across power strategy, utility interface, and interconnection - people who’ve driven major grid programs, secured large-scale capacity, and accelerated energization for complex data center and renewable portfolios. If strengthening your power or interconnection capabilities is on the roadmap, happy to share more about the talent I’m representing and where they can make an impact. Feel free to message me if you’d like to set up a call. OP Renewables

As teams start thinking about travel plans and time off, the most forward-thinking companies are locking in interviews and offers now, not waiting until after the break. If you’re planning to grow your team before year-end, the next week is a prime window: ⭐ Candidates are reflecting on their goals for 2026 ⭐ Decision-makers are still in the office ⭐ You can avoid the January hiring rush and competition Keep your hiring and interview processes moving before the holidays, and you’ll head into December with momentum instead of starting from scratch in the New Year. If you’d like to secure key talent before the Thanksgiving slowdown, our team is here to help 📩

Associate Manager at OP Renewables - Expert Headhunter Supporting Growth in the Renewable Energy & Infrastructure space

Director of BD - Data Centers and Healthcare - Remote, US. Last year OP Renewables partnered with a global leader in building technology and services to support a key commercial expansion. They needed two Director-level BD hires focused on selling EaaS to the hospitality sector, and we successfully delivered both. That project built a strong working relationship, and they’ve now asked us to lead the search for the next strategic hire: a Director of Business Development focused on healthcare and data center clients. The role sits within a fast-growing commercial division, built around a strong as-a-service offering and a large existing client base. The focus is senior relationship development, long-term service agreements, and opening doors at the top level. If you have a strong network in healthcare or data centers and a background in strategic, consultative sales, I’d be interested in speaking with you. James Pinder

  • 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐲𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥. We're seeing energy developers actively hunt for engineers who can architect these resilient systems, especially those with hands-on experience designing solar + gas + storage solutions for mission-critical infrastructure. If you've built hybrid generation models or led delivery on complex energy projects, let's talk. The market's moving fast 💨

I’ve seen a real rise lately in demand from energy developers for engineers and leaders who can design and deliver microgrids that combine gas and renewables to power mission-critical sites like data centers. As grid congestion grows and uptime expectations get tougher, more developers are turning to hybrid generation models that blend solar, battery storage, and gas to create resilient systems that can run independently when needed. Traditional power engineering is now meeting distributed energy and digital infrastructure, and it’s driving a new kind of talent demand: people who understand both system design and commercial delivery. OP Renewables is already working with engineers and execs who’ve built hybrid solar-plus-gas systems for data centers and industrial clients. If you’re building in this space, happy to share what we’re seeing in the market.

Developers who navigate interconnection queues, grid constraints, and utility coordination accelerate delivery by months. Those who don't? They're stuck waiting and bleeding budget! The market knows it. Engineers with real interconnection battle scars are commanding premium rates because they solve problems before they become project killers. Your next hire should have grid interconnection experience. It's the difference between on-time delivery and million-dollar delays. • When global ambition meets local expertise, magic happens! Our latest success story from Josie Coffey shows exactly why specialist knowledge and cross-border collaboration matter in renewable energy recruitment 🤝

A great example of international collaboration paying off! An Asia-based renewable energy company recently approached us with a challenge: They were struggling to build out their DACH finance team - limited time, resources, and access to local German talent made it difficult to move quickly. Through the combined efforts of our DACH desk and international energy teams, we’ve successfully placed two key hires who will support the company’s growing PV and BESS portfolio - providing financial insights, supporting project evaluations, and ensuring the financial success of their renewable energy projects. From our intro call to double placement in just three months, we delivered ahead of schedule - both candidates start this December (original target was January). This result shows the power of specialist industry knowledge and true cross-border collaboration. If you’re facing similar challenges in building high-performing teams across new regions - especially within renewable energy and infrastructure - we’d be happy to help. #RenewableEnergy #Finance #DACH

  • Some great points here that apply to every industry and job opportunity.. Candidates: what made you feel valued (or not)? Hiring managers: what small change had the biggest impact on your process? We'd love to hear your thoughts 💭

𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬.. It’s not just about filling a role, it’s about shaping how people see your company. Every interview, every email, every interaction is a chance to leave a lasting impression. A smooth, respectful, and transparent hiring journey doesn’t just land you the right hire… it also boosts your employer brand. Why it matters: ⭐ Candidates talk - good or bad, their experience spreads fast. ⭐ A positive journey builds trust, even with those who don’t get the job. ⭐ Treating candidates well makes them more likely to reapply, refer others, or even become future customers. In a competitive talent market, candidate experience isn’t a 'nice to have.' It’s your reputation on the line. 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮: What’s the best (or worst) candidate experience you’ve had during a hiring process?

  • 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 💥 In renewable energy, technology is only half the story.. government incentives, regulation, and industrial strategy often determine how fast the transition actually happens. In the U.S, we’re seeing the impact of federal incentives, evolving regulation, and industrial policy shaping where and how renewable projects get built. Globally, frameworks like the ASEAN plan to boost renewable electricity to 45% by 2030 show how coordinated strategy can transform entire regions. Why it matters: ◾ Renewables are 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥-𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞. Policy can make or break a project’s economics. The right incentives don’t just accelerate deployment, they also build local supply chains, manufacturing, and jobs. What to watch: ◾ How changes to tax credits and subsidies reshape project pipelines ◾ Trade and tariff decisions, especially around solar and wind components ◾ Permitting and grid connection reforms that could unlock (or delay) gigawatts of clean energy Policy isn’t just paperwork - it’s the foundation of the energy transition. 👉 How confident are you that current policies will deliver the scale of renewables we need by 2030?
