One of the best parts of our work at RDF is getting to support the people behind the mission. The ones asking thoughtful questions, navigating change, shaping what’s next. This reflection from Carolina Chiari, a recent participant in a digital fundraising course we helped make accessible through Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy really resonated. It’s a reminder that strategy matters, clarity saves time, and the right tools, used thoughtfully, can help organizations grow without losing their focus. We’re proud to stand behind the people shaping a stronger future for communities across the country. #RDF #CapacityBuilding #CommunityDevelopment #Nonprofits

There’s nothing like meeting face-to-face with the people behind the work. Recently, our team was in Boston connecting with clients, partners, and fellow changemakers who are driving impact in their communities every day. Greater Lawrence Community Action Council Inc. They’re part of how we listen, learn, and grow — juntos. #CommunityDevelopment #CDFI #Boston #RDF

Proud to see our CEO, Annie Donovan, featured in JPMorganChase “If These Walls Could Talk” series, highlighting the role RDF plays in driving opportunity in places like Phoenix and beyond. As Annie shares in the full video, RDF is powered by lived experience. Many on our team know firsthand what it means to seek opportunity in this country, and that perspective shapes how we invest in housing, education, healthcare, and more. When communities have the resources they need, they create their own momentum and their own prosperity. #CommunityDevelopment #CDFI #RDF #JPMorganChase

We’re excited to support Growth Partners Arizona as they work to make small business lending more accessible across the state. With this $500,000 investment, we're helping an emerging CDFI grow its reach in communities that often struggle to access affordable capital. That kind of support can make a real difference for local entrepreneurs working to sustain and grow their businesses. At RDF, we back organizations that are deeply rooted in the places they serve and focused on long-term impact. Growth Partners Arizona is exactly that. #SmallBusiness #CDFI #Arizona #CommunityDevelopment Repost GPAZ’s LinkedIn post and add the above as a comment.

Today, we join many across Arizona and the nation in mourning the loss of Alfredo Gutierrez, a towering figure in the civil rights and Chicano movements, and a tireless advocate for justice. From his early days in the 1960s and '70s as a leader in Arizona’s fight for representation, to becoming the first Latino to serve as majority leader of the Arizona State Senate, Alfredo dedicated his life to uplifting our communities. He was also a co-founder of Chicanos Por La Causa and remained a passionate voice for change throughout his life. At RDF, we were honored to know him not just as a historic leader, but as a mentor and friend. He worked closely with many of us, including our Board Chair Daniel Ortega and our founding CEO Tommy Espinoza. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and the paths he helped forge. May he rest in power.

A love of learning starts early and grows in the right environment. This student’s moment of library joy is a small glimpse into what’s possible when schools are built with care, vision, and community trust. @Impact Public Schools in Tukwila, WA is leading the way, ranking in the top 8% statewide for academic performance among low-income and multilingual learners and expanding access to high-quality education where it’s needed most. With more than $12 million invested, RDF supported the launch and growth of Impact’s first two campuses through acquisition, renovation, and expansion. Today, more than 1,300 students are learning and thriving across four schools. We’re honored to work alongside bold education leaders shaping environments where curiosity blooms and opportunity takes root. #RDFImpact #CharterSchools #Education #CommunityDevelopment 📸 @impactpublicschools

We join so many across Arizona in mourning the passing of Suzanne Pfister — a fierce advocate, tireless leader, and passionate public servant. As president and CEO of Vitalyst Health Foundation, Suzanne championed access to affordable health care and helped transform Arizona’s health landscape. She was also a driving force behind the Arizona Workforce Housing Impact Fund, guided by a deep belief that health, housing, and community well-being are inseparable. As a proud Arizona-based organization, we at RDF have long admired Suzanne’s unwavering commitment to strengthening Arizona’s communities, a mission we share. Her legacy will continue to inspire us and so many others who call this state home.

A spark. A skill. A future is forged. This moment captured at the Center for Employment Training (CET) represents more than just a student learning to weld. It’s opportunity in action. Since 1967, CET has provided hands-on training for stable, well-paying careers across Southern California. Oxnard is one of those communities, a vibrant city full of drive and potential. But when CET lost the lease on its Oxnard site during the pandemic, its ability to serve students in this area was suddenly at risk. That’s when RDF stepped in, not just as a lender, but as a mission-aligned partner. We saw what others overlooked: an opportunity to invest in long-term impact and a broader vision for the community’s future. With a permanent home now secured for its Oxnard campus, CET is expanding access to education and training that lead to good jobs and economic mobility. We’re so proud to be part of their journey. #RDFImpact #CDFI
