What an incredible two days at the Construction & Robotics Summit here in Pittsburgh! The Robotics Factory was proud to bring together leaders from across construction, robotics, and advanced technologies to tackle some of the most urgent challenges facing vertical and heavy civil/infrastructure construction.
This summit fostered deep discussions spanning the entire construction lifecycle, from pre-construction planning to on-site execution to post-construction operations. Over two high-impact days, participants collaborated to identify critical industry pain points, co-develop solution concepts, and strengthen relationships that will move the field forward.
We are especially grateful to our partners, Innovation Works, the Pittsburgh Robotics Network, and Contech Alliance, whose collaboration and support helped make this summit possible and whose commitment to advancing construction technology continues to shape the future of the industry. Our sincere thanks go to the event leadership who guided this effort with vision and dedication: Elizabeth Ezar, MBA, Robotics Factory Create Program Manager; Kevin Dowling, Managing Director of Robotics Factory and Hardware; and Jennifer Apicella, Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Robotics Network. We are equally appreciative of our panelists, Val Tzvetkov of Contech, Chad Clark of Turner Construction Company, Alex Foessel of Balanced Engineering LLC, and Viktor Orekhov of HITT Contracting Inc., each of whom brought invaluable expertise and perspective to the conversation. We also extend heartfelt thanks to Aaron M., who facilitated Day 2 with insight and skill, helping participants translate challenges into actionable ideas.
To every attendee who contributed insights, asked hard questions, and leaned into collaboration: thank you. The energy and momentum generated during these two days make it clear that robotics innovation in construction is not just emerging, it is accelerating.
