“SAWS calls it the ‘recycling trifecta.’ The RNG produced at the plant earns the utility about $200,000 in royalties annually. The recycled water produced there is used by the city and by golf courses, parks, and commercial and #industrial customers in the area in place of potable water. The plant also processes waste into fertilizer that is marketed locally to improve soil quality. What’s more, by capturing and refining rather than flaring the methane produced during the #wastewater treatment process, the city reduces its greenhouse gas emissions.” #utilities #environment

🇺🇸 This morning, we honored our SAWS veterans and retirees with a military-style breakfast served by our executive management team. 🍳🎖️ Special thanks to our guest speaker, U.S. Navy veteran and Public Affairs Specialist at Joint Base San Antonio, Jonathan Cotto . Thank you to all who served and to everyone who helped make this #VeteransDay celebration a meaningful tribute to our heroes. ❤️🤍💙

“A portion of existing state sales tax revenue — up to $1 billion annually — would be deposited into the Texas Water Fund each year, starting in 2027 to help fund water, #wastewater and flood #infrastructure projects.” #utilities #txwater

Last Friday, the SAWS family gathered to honor the life and legacy of Steven M. Clouse — a leader whose vision and dedication shaped our organizational success and secured our community’s water future for decades to come. 💙 We were grateful to have colleagues and Steve’s family with us as we reflected on his impact and unveiled a commemorative bench that will remain at SAWS HQ in our former COO’s memory. #utilities #txwater
