We find ourselves talking about culture quite a bit, but driving culture is not just words... you don't just tell your employees that you 'want a particular culture' in place! Culture is driven by actions.. and, our GM is driving our culture at the San Diego Marriott Del Mar! Our GM, Mark Ziomek had told our Housekeeping team that if they met a certain metric for Cleanliness in GSS (Guest Satisfaction Score), he would jump in the pool! Well... our amazing Housekeeping team met and exceeded that score in Oct 2025! Sure enough, our Dir of Housekeeping, cashed in this promise... she pushed our GM into the pool in full suit and all! Our Housekeeping team and other employees celebrated this amazing event.
