We are back again with another writing moderation, but this time focusing on building year group-led practices. Using Seesaw Learning for moderation has been a game-changer. When we share the task link, only the task is visible , not the student name or class, making it ideal for fair, unbiased moderation focused purely on the quality of writing. This year, we’re strengthening our year group-led moderation by using Seesaw as a central platform where all teachers can freely access writing samples for collaborative discussion and alignment. Looking ahead, this also creates sustainability. When new teachers join or when staff move across year groups, they can simply refer to the Seesaw links in our shared moderation document to access consistent, moderated writing samples - ensuring a clear, coherent writing progression across primary. Seesaw Learning continues to open up new ways for me to collaborate and connect with colleagues, strengthening our shared approach to purposeful moderation and effective teaching and learning practices.
