About us
Siemens Energy is one of the world’s leading energy technology companies. The company works with its customers and partners on energy systems for the future, thus supporting the transition to a more sustainable world. With its portfolio of products, solutions and services, Siemens Energy covers almost the entire energy value chain – from power generation and transmission to storage. The portfolio includes conventional and renewable energy technology, such as gas and steam turbines, hybrid power plants operated with hydrogen, and power generators and transformers. A majority stake in the wind power subsidiary Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) makes Siemens Energy a global market leader for renewable energies. An estimated one-sixth of the electricity generated worldwide is based on technologies from Siemens Energy. Siemens Energy employs 103,000 people worldwide in more than 90 countries and generated revenue of around €39.1 billion in fiscal year 2025. Siemens Energy is a trademark licensed by Siemens AG

What happens to the grid with the phase-out of conventional power plants? 🤔 Renewable energy doesn’t provide the inertia needed for a stable grid. At Mehrum Nord in Germany there is the answer - our world’s first E-STATCOM facility. This facility is using supercapacitor-powered STATCOM to enable the stable integration of renewable energy into the grid and reduce CO2 emissions. It's a blueprint for renewable-ready grids across the globe!

Powering data centers and Europe’s next wave of digital infrastructure.⚡🚀 Our large power transformers have arrived in Portugal - headed for the main substation that will connect this project to Portugal’s national transmission grid. One of Europe’s largest data center campuses, Start Campus is scaling toward 1.2 GW of secured IT capacity. Together, we’re not just expanding infrastructure - we’re ensuring sustainable, reliable power in an increasingly constrained energy landscape 🌍

Welcome to 1926! No, that's not a typo. To kick off the new year, we're taking you on a #FlashbackFriday journey back in time exactly 100 years. One of Latin America's largest hydroelectric power plants in terms of capacity began operating in Cacheuta, Argentina, in 1926. Siemens-Schuckertwerke was responsible for constructing the dam and power plant. The machine room had three turbo sets that generated electricity for the prosperous wine-growing region.
