Last week Simon® celebrated the opening of the new luxury wing at Southdale Center™, ushering in the next chapter for the property that first opened its doors in 1956. While so much has evolved over nearly seven decades of Southdale, one thing remains unchanged: the spirit of connection that brings people across generations to share experiences and make memories at Minneapolis’ premier shopping, dining, and lifestyle destination. Our celebration included an exclusive VIP dinner that brought our community, partners, and brands together in style. We were honored to welcome Mayor of Edina, James Hovland, members of the Kowalski family from Kowalski’s Markets, and CEO and founder of Life Time Inc. Bahram Akradi, along with remarks from Simon leadership reflecting on Southdale’s rich legacy and its exciting future.

We’re proud to share 500 Electrify America Hyper-Fast chargers are now at Simon® centers across 27 states, delivering convenience and innovation for our shoppers and our communities. Electric vehicle charging stations at our centers allow drivers to shop, dine, and recharge — both themselves and their vehicles — all in one visit.
