Half of the world’s population lacks access to essential health services. In low- and middle-income countries, 9 in 10 people are unable to access even basic surgical care. That’s why SRS is proud to partner with the World Health Organization to explore how digital solutions like telesurgery and virtual care can bridge this gap. With affordable technology and a focus on public sector demand, we’re aiming to empower healthcare providers and create a more equitable global health future. Watch the video to learn how we’re working to make quality surgical care accessible.

SS Innovations Performs World’s First Intercontinental Robotic Cardiac Tele-Surgery. On the concluding day of the Annual Conference of the Society of Robotic Surgery | SRS being held in Strasbourg, France, from July 16-20,2025, SS Innovations International, Inc. has once again redefined the frontiers of surgical innovation by executing the world’s first transcontinental robotic cardiac surgery, spanning an unprecedented distance of approximately 10,000 kilometers. The procedure, a robotic atrial septal defect (ASD) closure, was performed remotely by Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, MD, Founder and Chairman of SS Innovations, from the IRCAD Global Headquarters in Strasbourg. The patient-side support was seamlessly coordinated at the IRCAD National Center in Indore, India, by Dr. Lalit Malik, Chief of Cardiac Surgery, Manipal Hospitals (MHEPL), Jaipur, Dr. Lalit Aditya Malik – Cardiac Surgeon, Manipal Hospital, Jaipur, @Dr. Ram Krishna Shukla, Cardiologist, SAIMS Indore and Dr. Bipin Arya, Anesthesiologist, SAIMS Indore. The live procedure was moderated by globally renowned robotic cardiac surgeon Dr. Husam H Balkhy, President of ISMICS and Professor of Surgery, and Director of Robotic Cardiac Surgery at the University of Chicago Medicine. Notably, the surgery was completed with no technical issues, showcasing the robustness of SSI Mantra Surgical Robotic System and its revolutionary tele-surgical architecture. This historic achievement not only demonstrates the clinical viability of cross-continental remote robotic cardiac interventions but also paves the way for redefining the global delivery of complex cardiac care especially in regions with limited access to surgical expertise. Dr. Srivastava extended his heartfelt gratitude to, Vipul Patel, M.D., F.A.C.S., Chairman of the Society of Robotic Surgery (SRS), Dr. Mohit Bhandari, the IRCAD India team and the entire SS Innovations team whose dedication and innovation made this global first possible. #RoboticSurgery #CardiacSurgery #TeleSurgery #MedTech #MadeInIndia #SSInnovations #IRCAD #SRS2025 #DigitalHealth #GlobalSurgery #Majormilestone

It’s not just a conference, it’s a test drive into the future of surgery. At Society of Robotic Surgery | SRS 2025, the exhibition floor is alive with innovation. Robotics companies from around the world are inviting attendees to get hands-on with the latest surgical technologies, from multi-port systems to orthopedic bots. Just like test-driving a car, this is a rare opportunity to experience these breakthrough technologies before they transform operating rooms across the globe. Why do innovators come to SRS? Because this is a space built for true collaboration, across borders, specialties, and systems, where companies and surgeons can connect ethically, openly, and without barriers. The robotics future isn’t coming. It’s already here. #SRS2025 #RoboticSurgery #MedicalInnovation #Telesurgery #FutureOfSurgery #SurgicalRobotics #HealthcareTechnology #GlobalHealth
