I had a great time last week at the Advanced ADR Conference hosted by TexasBarCLE and the State Bar of Texas ADR Section. For me, the highlight of conferences is finally connecting in person with colleagues I’ve previously known only through Zoom or LinkedIn. Screens are efficient, but there’s simply no substitute for meeting face-to-face. I picked up some great insights from the panelists. If you’re a mediator or arbitrator who couldn’t make it, I highly recommend catching the webcast.

I had a fantastic time in Austin last week, presenting "ADR 2.0: How AI Is Changing the ADR Game" for the 24th Annual Course on Advanced Alternative Dispute Resolution presented by the State Bar of Texas and TexasBarCLE. My panel, including Felicia Harris Hoss, Andrew Barton and Angela Downes, discussed what neutrals need to know when it comes to AI literacy, incorporating AI into your practice & your procedural orders, maintaining trust in the ADR system when AI is involved, and the various resources and guidelines available. If you missed it, the State Bar of Texas will have a Webcast Replay on February 10, 2026. Thanks for having me and for the warm Texas hospitality! #alternativedisputeresolution #aiinarbitration CPR Dispute Resolution Services
