Disruptions to key circadian cues like light exposure and meal timing can weaken the immune system’s response to viruses. Consistent meal timing helped restore protection even when light cues were altered. These findings have important implications for clinical practice, suggesting that circadian-aligned care strategies may enhance immune responses and support better outcomes for patients with respiratory illnesses.
