Join us in celebrating humanKIND winner Ricardo Pizana, EVS Floor Tech in Austin, TX! When Security reported a strong odor coming from the Emergency Department men's restroom, Ricardo promptly responded and discovered a visitor from the ICU had soiled his clothing. Without hesitation, Ricardo provided the visitor with pajama pants, towels, and washcloths, staying with him to ensure he was cleaned up and comfortable enough to continue visiting his loved one in the ICU. After disposing of the soiled linens, Ricardo noticed the visitor had left. Wanting to provide further support, he searched the facility until he found him and arranged for a pair of thicker scrub pants to be delivered through the ICU charge nurse. Ricardo consistently demonstrates compassion, attentiveness, and a strong commitment to the well-being of patients and visitors. Thank you, Ricardo! #humanKIND #iamtouchpoint

TouchPoint Safety Manager, Max Silver, wants to ensure you keep your holidays healthy and delicious by sharing some essential tips to protect you from foodborne illness while enjoying all your favorite holiday meals: 🧼 Prepare safely: Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before handling food, and fully thaw meats before cooking (a 20-lb turkey needs 3 days in the refrigerator) 🌡️ Cook properly: Use a thermometer to verify meats and casseroles reach safe cooking temperatures to kill harmful bacteria. ❄️ Store promptly: Refrigerate leftovers immediately in shallow containers and discard any food left out for more than 2 hours. 🍽️ Consume carefully: Eat refrigerated leftovers within 3-4 days and reheat to 165°F, remembering that harmful bacteria don't always change food's appearance, taste, or smell. #FoodSafety #FoodSafetyTips #HolidayTips #iamtouchpoint

Join us in celebrating humanKIND winner Tungee Cox, Supervisor Patient Ambassador in Nashville, TN! On June 4th, we lost a cherished patient who passed away peacefully at our Nashville location. Later that day, her family reached out to Tungee Cox, Patient Ambassador, who had formed a special bond with the patient during her stay. The family invited Tungee to speak at her funeral, wanting to honor the connection and comfort she provided. During the service, Tungee shared touching stories from the patient's time with us—the laughter, the tears, and the fears she bravely expressed. This gave family and friends a deeply personal glimpse into her final days. Tungee concluded with these words: "She came to us as a patient, but she left as my friend."
