TCFS Executive Director, Laura Poss, talks about the collaborative work of the new Community-Based Advisory Council. We work closely with our partners like CASA Kane County to strengthen the mental health of our communities together.
CASA Kane County is leading a collaborative network of key leaders and organizations throughout Kane County, through a new Community-Based Advisory Council. The Council’s overall goal is to reduce the number of children in foster care, by providing prevention, early intervention, and resources at the earliest possible stage – before abuse, neglect or removal from the home occurs. Laura Poss, Executive Director of Tri-City Family Services shares how the council is addressing community challenges by breaking down barriers to resources and collaborating to ensure families and youth receive the support they need. This is the 6th message in our series featuring community leaders who are part of this initiative. Stay tuned for more insights coming soon!
