CASA Kane County is leading a collaborative network of key leaders and organizations throughout Kane County, through a new Community-Based Advisory Council. The Council’s overall goal is to reduce the number of children in foster care, by providing prevention, early intervention, and resources at the earliest possible stage – before abuse, neglect or removal from the home occurs. Laura Poss, Executive Director of Tri-City Family Services shares how the council is addressing community challenges by breaking down barriers to resources and collaborating to ensure families and youth receive the support they need. This is the 6th message in our series featuring community leaders who are part of this initiative. Stay tuned for more insights coming soon! For more information on CASA Kane County and how you can help, visit our website at www.casakanecounty.org or contact Jim Di Ciaula, Executive Director at JimD@casakanecounty.org

  • The triumphant return of TCFS Trivia Night was a success! Our supporters filled Rock 'N Ravioli at the Arcada Theatre and showed off their smarts--all in the name of raising money for mental health access in our community. Congratulations to our newest Trivia Night Champions, "Lucky no7" who topped the charts with a total of 69 points! "You Got Questions, We Got Answers" came in a close second at 66 points. And the lovely ladies of "OAD" graciously accepted their 11th place title with 28.75 points. Thank you to the staff at the Arcada Theatre, our volunteer group from @blacktiebarcrawl (see you on October 4!), our host Miranda, TCFS Staff and Board, the prize package donors (Riverside Pizza & Pub - St. Charles, The Lewis, The Graceful Ordinary, Comedy Vault), our entertainment sponsor Hopeology PLLC, and our musical entertainment Raccoon Picnic for an amazing night. #arcadatheatre #rocknravioli #trivianight #trivianightfundraiser #triviafundraiser #community #mentalhealthforall #volunteer #stcharlesil
