The Trustward leadership team got serious about setting the 10 year, 3 year, 1 year and 90 day goals at a two day off site last week. We are building something exciting.
Just spent two days addressing the elephant in the room and planning out 2025/26 with JJ White, CEPA, very excited for the next year Trustward

There are so many things that go into changing your business name. Check out our CEOs thoughts on a minor part that can turn major if you are not watching closely.
Changing our company name from RCG to Trustward required one workstream that became known as the "login census", where we went around and tried to figure out everything we did with a login, then change the company name and login to Trustward. The final list was 46 items, which was long but honestly shorter than I expected. And changing our name was so different depending on which product we were working with. Some it was incredibly simple, just 30 seconds which included a text validation to our phone. Others wanted to re-underwrite our services totally, asking for IDs and pulling credit scores (this was the more financial products). One organization with multiple interdependent products just could not handle it, and we are on week three of working directly with their support team. I knew this would be part of it, but it is a pain and I never want to do this again.

Early on when I was leading at a non-profit, I didn't see the value in investing in a brand. I thought people would know about us if we had a reputation for excellent work. And some people did find us, and we survived just fine. But over time, I realized our reputation was disconnected from the day to day (in both good and bad ways). And we had no organizational ability to correct the narrative. Well, I've learned my lesson. Later this month we are changing our name at RCG to a brand we've worked really hard on and I am really proud of. It is a name and a logo, but it also stands for a lot more than just shapes, colors and letters. I'm going to post a few different things about our journey, as it was super interesting and I'm excited to share (and maybe some people will take away a few key lessons).
