  • In 2010, Victor noticed unusual swelling in his feet. He soon learned that his kidneys had never fully developed. He was placed on dialysis and later added to the transplant waiting list.  Three years later, Victor received the call: a kidney was available. The transplant was a success, and from that moment, he made it his mission to help others navigate their transplant journeys.  Today, Victor continues to be a passionate advocate, using his experience to support and uplift those still waiting for their second chance at life.  “I am so lucky to be alive and to be given this second chance at life,” he said. “I’m grateful to the person who donated.”

  • It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Larry A. Eisenberg, Chairman of the TOSA Governing Board, on Saturday, November 1, 2025. As an organ recipient himself, Larry was a steadfast advocate for the mission of organ donation. His leadership and vision guided TOSA through times of growth and innovation. Larry joined the TOSA Governing Board in January 2015 and became Chairman in October 2023. During his tenure, he was instrumental in many projects and initiatives, but two that had the greatest and most lasting impact were the planning, financing, and building of TOSA’s permanent headquarters, and negotiating the partnership with Southwest Transplant Alliance (STA) that will bring both organizations together under the Gift of Life Alliance (GOLA) umbrella. Beyond his service to TOSA, Larry was prolific in the investment, corporate management, and real estate arenas. He was also extremely active in the not-for-profit and philanthropic sectors, where his passion for service and community was evident in every endeavor he undertook. Those who knew Larry will remember his integrity, generosity, and care for others. His dedication to saving and healing lives through organ donation leaves an enduring legacy within our organization and the communities we serve. We extend our deepest condolences to Larry’s family and loved ones.
