Vesper Medical Transport Elevates Neonatal Response with NALS Training Vesper Medical Transport’s Senior Director of Clinical Operations, Justin Webster, recently sent Clinical Supervisor Owen Siford and Program Manager Nathan Bashaw to receive training on neonatal resuscitation with the new Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) Comprehensive course which has helped transform neonatal response. “It’s a class unlike any other we’ve taken. The difference was exactly what we needed,” notes Owen, who is also a paramedic. One of the biggest surprises for Owen was the program’s strong emphasis on respiratory care. Previous courses he attended were heavily cardiac-focused, leaving a gap in respiratory training. When Justin was asked if he would recommend NALS to other providers, his answer was an enthusiastic yes. He plans to leverage his two newly trained NALS instructors to expand access to this vital training across the organization.
