Women in Technology (WIT) reposted this
Women in Technology (WIT) Past Board Members Happy Hour achieved more than I ever imagined. I hosted this gathering earlier this week, but you can’t plan for the kind of magic that happens when a group of women with shared values and purpose come together. It was an honor to meet and hear stories from original board members and to share the progress and future plans of WIT. I believe it was Jacque who said it, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it: WIT has its own sisterhood, a unique bond across generations of WIT leaders. And it’s so true. I sat between Patti Dismukes and Tracy Garner, who led the Board when I first stepped in six years ago, and Betsy Robinson and Marcia Calleja - Matsko, who lead it today, with Heather Rocker, our amazing CEO, beside us. It was a full-circle moment of past and present. WIT may have brought us together, but it’s our shared passion that turned colleagues into friends and friends into family. So…they’re really never getting rid of me. :) Gatherings like this remind me how grateful I am for this community, and why these relationships will stay with me long after titles and terms change. 💜 Marie Mouchet Kanyatta Walker Lacey Facer Dr. Jacque Rushin, MBA, MSc, M.Div #WomeninTechnology #WITLeaders
