Some rooms remind you why you chose this work in the first place. I was honored to join the Young Black Pharma 2025 conversation on what it truly means to build the future of pharmaceutical medicine. In a moment of global uncertainty, our mission remained clear: advance science with integrity, expand access with urgency, and ensure that innovation reaches every community. I had the privilege of sharing the stage with leaders who are not only shaping the future of pharma, they are carrying communities with them as they rise. Stanley T. Lewis, MD, MPH , RA Session II, and Enoch Kariuki, PharmD each brought stories of courage, conviction, and the kind of vision born from lived experience. Our conversation wasn’t just about building companies or driving innovation. It was about building pathways, for young scientists, for future founders, for patients who deserve to be seen and heard, and for every voice that has too often been left on the margins. I left the session inspired, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Grateful for the honesty in the room. Grateful for the brilliance shared. Grateful for a community committed to lifting as it leads. And delighted to reconnect with Dawn Bey, PharmD, MBA, her vision of leadership continue to open doors and expand what's possible for the next generation. Thank you, Young Black Pharma (youngblackpharma.org), for creating a space where purpose, legacy, and possibility met. The work continues, and together, we carry it forward. #MissionDriven #YBP #PharmaLeadership #HealthcareEquity #InnovationWithImpact

Humbled to share that I was recently honoured as one of the recipients of the “YBP Connect Intentionally Award” at the 2025 Young Black Pharma (YBP) Conference and Gala in Washington D.C earlier this month. Unfortunately I was unable to attend in person but I am so privileged to have been nominated alongside some amazing trailblazers and change makers in the industry. Super grateful to have been celebrated from afar with this award and I want to extend my gratitude to my peers and the YBP selection committee.  This award celebrates outstanding individuals who exemplify the values of YBP in facilitating inclusion through connecting, cultivating and inspiring.  I’ve always held the belief that its only through collaboration that we can create powerful initiatives to support under-represented populations. There are no better examples of this than observing some of the fantastic partnerships seen across the industry with the amazing patient advocacy groups showing up and fighting for the patient's voice every day.  I deeply identify with the mission of YBP and although being based on the other side of the Atlantic to a lot of my peers, I’m looking forward to seeing this organisation continue to grow and hopefully there will soon be enough of us in Europe to host a regional YBP catch up in Paris, London or Madrid! (Other European capitals are available!) Tagging in some amazing patient led organisations I’ve worked with past, present and hopefully in the future! Patient Empowerment Network, HealthTree Foundation, CancerCare, Cancer Support Community, Acute Leukemia Advocates Network, Sickle Cell Society, International Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia Foundation (IWMF), ACLT Wishing my US connections a restful thanksgiving weekend!

Results-Oriented Pharmaceutical Professional | Championing Patient Access, Outcomes, and Innovation | Skilled in Stakeholder Engagement & Problem Solving

Taking a moment, even four weeks later, to reflect on the light, inspiration, and connection I gained at the 2025 Young Black Pharma (YBP) Conference & Gala. As a working mom, wife, and woman navigating this industry, it felt refreshing to be in a space surrounded by community, encouragement, and possibility. I was also proud to attend as a Talent Ambassador for Novartis and connect with so many people interested in the work we do. Sharing my experience at Novartis alongside my colleagues was truly a highlight. Some of my favorite sessions left a lasting imprint. ✨ A thoughtful discussion with Celeste Warren (She/Her), Caroline De Marco, and Kyna Gooden, PhD on finding balance, facing challenges with grace, and supporting one another as women in this industry. ✨ A dynamic panel led by Barbara Salami and Leanna Baker, PharmD, MS on the impact of AI in the pharmaceutical industry and how it will shape the future of our work. ✨ A global perspective discussion with Conrod Kelly, Isha Williams, and Omar L. Harris on the value of ex-U.S. assignments and gaining international experience. A topic that pushed my own thinking about long-term growth. ✨ And an empowering keynote from Tyrone Brewer, who reminded us that “you don’t know what’s possible until you step out, try new things and embrace the process.” That message hit home deeply, especially as I explore new ways to grow, stretch, and evolve in my own career journey. Life has been full, but this conference was a needed reminder that rest and ambition can coexist. Soft life doesn’t mean moving slowly. It means moving with intention, clarity, and alignment. Walking into this next chapter with community behind me, confidence within me, and excitement for what’s ahead. 💫 #YBP #ForwardWithFocus #Novartis #Community #CareerDevelopment #PharmaCareers

Managing Director at Biotechnology Innovation Organization

October and November have been a whirlwind. I started the fall travel season at the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Annual Conference, connected with colleagues who have become friends, and discussed salient issues for biotech and biopharma companies.  Later in the month, I headed to Charlotte, a new location for the OneWe Reach (formerly WOCIP®) conference and continued to collect valuable insights on how companies are navigating the emergence of AI, regulatory uncertainty, a fundraising environment that continues to impact all companies, but particularly early-stage companies, and preparing leaders to navigate all of these challenges. The following week, I headed to NYC and attended The Galien Foundation Forum for the first time.  It was an impressive gathering of R&D leaders who are shaping clinical trials, commercialization, and exploring cutting-edge breakthroughs to benefit the health of all. Next up, I flew to Vienna for my first BIO-Europe. It is a stunning city with deep history and absolutely gorgeous architecture. It was a great backdrop to learn more about the ecosystem of biotech in Europe, how companies are navigating geopolitical and fundraising challenges, and what framework would better position growth in this region. It was great to connect with the team at EBD Group and while this isn’t the primary purpose, you all know how to have fun. 12 hours after my return to DC, I attended Young Black Pharma and saw the promise of mid-career professionals who will be the upcoming leaders across their companies. One Fireside Chat speaker made the keen observation that some of them will be our bosses one day! I closed out this month of travel with the Latinos in Bio gala in Boston. The companies and individuals who received awards showed yet again the power of connection, leadership, and community. As I described all of this travel to a few people, they asked me why it was important. I didn’t hesitate to respond that as a team member at Biotechnology Innovation Organization which hosts the biggest gathering for biotech in the world, we can’t do this without relationships and  understanding the many organizations that strengthen connection and innovation in our industry. The talent and leadership across our companies and partners is of the utmost importance in an everchanging world with complex problems and complex illnesses. Thanks for all of the valuable insights and connections made and renewed.  Enjoy this week with family and friends as we wrap up the year and plan for 2026!

I’m thrilled to share that I was recently nominated for, and honored with, the Inspire Excellence Award at the 2025 Young Black Pharma (YBP) Conference. Although I was unable to attend in person, I was deeply honored to be recognized among my peers in multiple categories, and grateful to be celebrated with this award. Thank you to my colleagues for for this distinct honor and thank you to the Selection Committee for all that you do. The Inspire Excellence Award celebrates outstanding individuals who exemplify the mission of YBP and are making a significant impact on the pharmaceutical industry. It is truly an honor to be recognized by such a remarkable organization and community, and I know that there is still more work to do.   I’d also like to share an excerpt from my award nomination: "Tatiana is a rising star in the pharmaceutical industry, known for her quiet confidence, clear excellence, and ability to elevate every team she touches. At her previous company, she quickly became one of the most sought after SMEs in Regulatory Ad/Promo- earning consistent praise from cross-functional leaders as 'the best Regulatory partner I've ever had.' At her farewell reception, over 30 colleagues across brands gathered to celebrate her impact and leadership.    Beyond her professional excellence, Tatiana embodies the spirit of mentorship and community. She has encouraged and guided fellow YBP members into new opportunities, championed peers through her leadership, and continues to inspire others in her current role at AbbVie. With 3 years of experience, she exemplifies Black Excellence-leading with grace, building bridges across cultures, and raising the bar for those who follow."

I'm a little late posting but...OF COURSE I attended Young Black Pharma's 4th Annual Conference & Gala earlier this month! I think Dawn Bey, PharmD, MBA called a few of us who've attended every year "OGs" at this point 😅. I'm always so thankful to her, Ijeoma Oyetunde, PharmD, Irene Okeke, PharmD, RPh, and Marissa West, PharmD, RPh for curating this community where we're able to authentically connect with like-minded pharma professionals and inspirational leaders. Here are just a few photos --- from seeing my FAMU, National Pharmaceutical Association, Inc, and former AstraZeneca peeps to chatting it up with mentees, mentors, and fellow health equity leaders in the pharma space --- it was an amazing weekend! #YBP #ForwardWithFocus #Community #PharmaCareers

Last weekend, I attended the 2025 Young Black Pharma Conference in the nation's capital and I'm still feeling inspired. The event centered around the theme "Forward with Focus," which was beautifully reflected in the insightful programming. I had the opportunity to glean wisdom from industry titans, senior executives, mid-level managers, and early-career professionals representing various sectors within the pharmaceutical industry. Bristol Myers Squibb had a great presence at the conference, with both current and past leaders from the company actively participating #YoungBlackPharma #ProudToBeBMS

Attending the Young Black Pharma conference this past weekend reminded me why spaces like this matter. As Black professionals, we don’t always get to show up fully as ourselves—but here, we’re seen, validated, and celebrated. Beyond the networking, the seminars on improving patient outcomes and workflow efficiency gave us tools we’re already implementing at Ahokos. And reconnecting with colleagues from years past? Priceless. Grateful for this community that pushes us to grow while holding space for who we are. #YoungBlackProfessionals #YBP #HealthcareLeadership #PharmD #WomensHealth #FertilityEducation #InclusiveHealthcare #BlackInMedicine #PharmaLeadership #PatientEducation #ReproductiveHealth #BlackHealthcare #ProfessionalDevelopment #CommunityOverCompetition

Executive Fellow at Pharmacy Quality Alliance | KE VP of Communications

When preparation meets purpose, you move Forward with Focus ▶️ 🚀Attending my first Young Black Pharma Conference was a launch in the right direction! The theme, Forward with Focus, reminded me that success begins with preparation, perspective, and purpose. 🤳🏾I served on YBP’s Marketing Committee under the leadership of Irene Okeke, PharmD, RPh and Satchell Medé Pacheco, PharmD where we met regularly to plan and execute strategic ideas that would capture the conference. From shaping our content vision to capturing impactful moments and interviewing members of the executive leadership team, I witnessed how collaboration and creativity can turn strategy into meaningful connection. Throughout the weekend, I explored how to: 💡 Strengthen executive presence and navigate our careers with confidence 🤖 Leverage AI to advance clinical trials and patient outcomes 💰 Build financial literacy and long-term success ⚖️ Influence policy through advocacy and collaboration Special Conference Highlights ⚡️ 1️⃣ Reconnecting with FAMU College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health alumni! Seeing their leadership, growth, and impact across the industry reaffirmed that I stand on the shoulders of giants who continue to open doors for the next generation.💚🧡 2️⃣ Reconnecting Angelle Newman, PharmD, RPh . From middle and high school classmates to both becoming pharmacists after completing the pharmacy tech track, what a full-circle moment! So proud of you and all that you’re accomplishing.🌟 3️⃣ Meeting Deltas in Pharma🔺🐘 who are leading, innovating, and opening doors across the industry was truly energizing and a reminder of the power of our sisterhood everywhere we go. 💡As I continue my fellowship, I’m holding tightly to this truth: “Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt.” ~ William Shakespeare Thank you to Pharmacy Quality Alliance for investing into my professional development! Your support made this experience possible. #YBP2025 #YoungBlackPharma #ForwardWithFocus #FWDWFOCUS
