Assistant Property Manager

About the Company

A privately owned commercial real estate firm is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support its Southeast portfolio. The company manages a diverse mix of commercial assets and is focused on delivering high-quality property operations and tenant service.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for tenant relations at both the property and corporate levels; manage and respond to property-related inquiries.
• Deliver exceptional tenant service by addressing requests and issues promptly and professionally, ensuring follow-up and resolution.
• Supervise maintenance personnel, as applicable, and support daily operations.
• Assist with preparation of annual operating budgets.
• Process rental payments, apply late fees, record collections, and prepare bank deposits.
• Review, code, and approve property invoices; ensure accuracy and timely accounts payable processing.
• Investigate and resolve accounts receivable discrepancies.
• Verify and maintain required vendor documentation, ensuring compliance and proper filing.
• Conduct and document monthly property inspections.
• Oversee and monitor the maintenance work-order system.
• Draft correspondence related to property operations and tenant matters.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• 2+ years of commercial real estate property management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and the full Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Yardi or similar property management software preferred.
