We're proud to support the launch of the Veterinary Green Theatre Checklist (VGTC) at the World Congress of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (WCVAA) 2025 in Paris. Adapted from the Intercollegiate Green Theatre Checklist used in human medicine, the VGTC is the first of its kind for veterinary practise, bringing together equine and companion animal perioperative guidelines in one easy-to-use, evidence-based tool. Led by the AVA, independently created by a cross-specialism global group, and proudly supported by Dechra the VGTC has already received endorsements from leading veterinary organisations. As Dr. Lizzie Barker, Technical Marketing Expert at Dechra and the visionary behind the project, explains: “The VGTC is a milestone in advancing OneHealth principles and sustainability in veterinary care.
