Fifteen years ago, Dan Gilbert moved Rocket downtown with an audacious vision: to help build a more equitable Detroit where everyone could thrive. Many said it was too ambitious. But we believed - and we're manifesting that dream every day. Yesterday, at our All Company Meeting, I had the profound honor of sharing the impact of our community work through the Rocket Community Fund and Gilbert Family Foundation with our 15,000 team members. Alongside Dan Gilbert and Bill Emerson, we discussed not just where we've been, but where we're going - a vision that's being powerfully advanced by Varun Krishna and our leadership team. The numbers and metrics tell one story, but the real impact is in the lives changed: families finding stability through homeownership, neighborhoods growing stronger, and communities building generational wealth. Every milestone represents thousands of Americans who now have a place to call home and the opportunities that come with it. Detroit once put America in cars. Now we're putting them in homes. And we're just getting started. This isn't just a corporate mission - it's a commitment to transforming lives through housing stability. As we look to the future, I'm deeply inspired by our team's unwavering dedication to making homeownership accessible to all. We believed. We built. And we're still building. The best is yet to come. #RocketManifest
I love this, Laura! I am grateful to you and the team for all you do! Your impact is felt by so many!
Love this! Transformational change. True visionaries.
Our For More Than Profit mission was what brought me to this amazing company from the non-profit world 8.5 years ago. In my previous role, I had a program planning meeting here at OCM with Bedrock's then PR Director and had the opportunity to learn more about the organization, its mission in our community, and see some of the impact first-hand. I left that meeting thinking, "I'm going to work there one day." (One could say I...manifested it??) I haven't regretted my decision to make that leap for a single moment since.
What Rocket and DG have done for Detroit is almost unexplainable! Talk about a Vision executed!!!
Just saw your interview featured in a CNBC piece regarding Detroit, very cool!
I continue to be inspired by all your work. Congratulations Laura and team!
Congrats Laura!
I continue to be truly inspired by Dan's vision and his commitment to Detroit. Thank you to you, Laura, and to all of the teams at Rocket for your hard work, passion and compassion.
Excellent vision - excellent execution! Congratulations 🎊🎈🍾
Laura Grannemann what Dan has done has been amazing and transformative. I was chairing the board of Schoolcraft College in Livonia when Dan began the move to Detroit. We were disappointedly, but quickly realized the incredible impact of this move. What he - and your team - has dine since has been so important. Arts, education, housing, economic development and veterans all benefitted. No donor has done more to transform Detroit in this era. And, many don’t know the quiet and hard work that he did to plan difficult investments that weren’t always “sexy” or deadline grabbing. Thank you Dan, Jennifer, and Rocket Community Fund. And thank you Laura Grannemann!
